Most tattoos require between 6–12 sessions spaced 6–8 weeks apart. Black ink typically responds fastest. Complex multicolor tattoos may require more sessions.

Does tattoo removal hurt?

Most patients describe the sensation as similar to a rubber band snap. Topical numbing cream is applied before each session to keep you comfortable.

Will my tattoo be completely removed?

Complete removal is achievable for most tattoos, especially black ink. Some colors — particularly light greens and yellows — are more resistant. Dr. Recasens will give you a realistic expectation during your consultation.
